Israel has expanded its military operations in Gaza City, declaring it a “combat zone.”
The aim is to destroy Hamas’s infrastructure, free hostages, and to prevent further threats from Gaza.
The Israeli military has carried out intense airstrikes and ground operations.
Bombardment and attacks are coming from the outskirts into dense urban neighbourhoods, especially in northern, eastern, and central parts of Gaza City.
Key areas under attack include Sheikh Radwan, Jala Street, Tel Al-Hawa, Zeitoun, and Sabra.
Israel has also targeted Hamas tunnels and surveillance posts.
