“Think of It as Real Estate” – Trump Outlines Gaza Takeover Plan, No Return for Palestinians, Promises “Beautiful” New Homes

Former President Donald Trump said he wants the United States to have control over the Gaza Strip in the future.

Trump suggested that wealthy people from the Middle East could help rebuild Gaza after the war between Israel and Hamas ends. The war started on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched a surprise attack, killing about 1,200 people and taking over 250 hostages.

When asked if Palestinians would be allowed to return to Gaza, Trump said they would not. Instead, he claimed they would have better housing elsewhere. He explained that he wanted to build new permanent homes for them.

Trump’s plan includes relocating Palestinians to other Middle Eastern countries while Gaza is rebuilt. However, Jordan and Egypt have strongly opposed this idea. Jordan’s King Abdullah II is expected to discuss the issue with President at the White House. Meanwhile, Egypt plans to hold an emergency summit in Cairo to discuss the situation.

Trump said he believes he can make a deal with Jordan and Egypt because the U.S. provides them with billions of dollars in aid. He also described his vision for Gaza, saying all damaged buildings should be torn down, Hamas should be removed, and the land should be redeveloped. He compared it to a real estate project, saying the U.S. would build safe and beautiful communities for displaced Palestinians elsewhere in the Middle East.
