New details from rescued hostage Qaid Farhan Alkadi reveal the tragic death of Arie Zalmanovicz, 86, during Hamas captivity.
Zalmanovicz was with Alkadi until his last moments. He died because Hamas denied him proper care. Israeli authorities confirmed his death in December.
Alkadi, after his rescue, said he saw Zalmanovicz’s body while they were held captive. Zalmanovicz was a founding member of Kibbutz Nir Oz. He leaves behind two sons and five grandchildren.
