The South African Weather Service issued a warning on Wednesday. There will be disruptive rain and strong coastal winds in parts of the Western Cape. Disaster risk management also warned about thunderstorms.
Slippery roads and reduced visibility are expected in the City of Cape Town, Swartland, Stellenbosch, Drakenstein, and western Overberg municipalities.
Strong coastal winds will make navigation difficult at sea. Small vessels and personal watercraft may take on water and capsize. These conditions are expected between Saldanha and Cape Agulhas, spreading to Plettenberg Bay.
